Migrate E-mail Messages Between Mailboxes Using Mozilla Thunderbird

For customers using Mozilla Thunderbird as their e-mail client

Learn how to move e-mail messages from one e-mail account to another with Mozilla Thunderbird.

Before you begin, you will need to have Mozilla Thunderdbird installed on your computer as well as Manually Set Up E-mail with Mozilla Thunderbird if you have not already.

Step 1
Launch Mozilla Thunderbird

Click on the appropriate folder from the e-mail account you will be moving the messages from (such as the Inbox), then select the messages you would like to migrate by clicking on the Subject.

If you will be moving all available messages, press CTRL + A to select all of the messages in that folder.

Alternatively, you can hold CTRL while you click on individual messages if you are moving specific messages.

Drag the selected messages to the appropriate folder in the other mailbox.

Please note:

Depending on the quantity and size of the messages being moved, the migration process time will vary. However, you can monitor the progress at the bottom of the screen
