Reissue an SSL Certificate Managed by You

Learn how to reissue an SSL certificate managed by you.

An SSL certificate that has already been configured can be reissued with just a few clicks. This option may be useful in the following cases:

  • The information contained in the SSL certificate must be changed or the encryption is SHA1 and not SHA2 (which is the latest type).
  • You have lost the private key.
  • The SSL certificate has been compromised.

Please note:
After reissuing the SSL certificate, you must revoke the old certificate.

The SSL certificates that are included with all 1&1 products can be reissued at any time without any limitations.
Step 1
Log in to your 1&1 Control Panel and select the relevant package.
